COVID-19 Panic Shopping ?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. I was in Macro the last 2 weekends. Last weekend was perfectly normal. The weekend before was busier than normal but nothing crazy and they opened more tellers so things went just as quickly as normal.

I saw photos from a few weeks ago with big queues but maybe they are over it for now.

Hoarding item of choice seems to be instant noodles with the shelves in that aisle looking pretty bare. I guess with bum guns (and lot smaller rear ends) toilet paper is less of an essential here

Queues here are more due to incompetence than any panic buying. Popped over to Aeon 2 the other day to collect a few bits and there was one guy handling the motorbike exit with the queue to get out stretching back to the entrance; it's just stupidity. Mall was empty, shops pretty much all open.
