Le Chop

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

A vaccination extends your child's chances to survive. Mutilation not.
Avoiding an HIV infection seems like a surefire way to live longer, if you ask me.

Ok, I'm out. At this point I can't see us going anywhere but around in circles.
Yeah, because bozos like you insist on assuming that every male is whoring around.

There are some males on the planet who will probably practise safe sex, stop projecting one lifestyle type onto every other male.

You only concern seems to be about HIV, tell us more...

It's about WAY more than HIV/AIDS, get with the programme.

But just for you, we could also assume that a decent parent would give the kid enough info and give him access to circumcision before he shagged the first time.

Just because the conversation isn't focused on your particular concern doesn't mean it's going around in circles.

And this study has been completely discredited now. It was bullshit, rushed through in order to push an anti-AIDS agenda in Africa. No such protection is gleaned from circumcision.

The WHO doesn't do science... not even a little bit. That's why they also recommend acupuncture which was discredited by its own lobbying body's research in the UK...

in britain only 15% of the male population are circumcised
We did not find any significant differences in the proportion of circumcised and uncircumcised British men reporting ever being diagnosed with any STI (11.1% compared with 10.8%, p = 0.815), bacterial STIs (6.4% cf 5.9%, p = 0.628), or viral STIs (4.7% cf 4.5%, p = 0.786) (table 1). We also found no significant associations between circumcision and being diagnosed with any one of the seven specific STIs.

If the answer is cutting off a healthy piece of your body you're probably asking the wrong questions.

Whoooosh, as it goes right over your head.

Are you denying that whoring around increases the risk of getting HIV?

You know (I assume) that an increase in sexual partners puts people at more risk. So no, they're not the only people who get it (thanks for that startling revelation), but they are at increased risk.

I often think Ed was right, truly.

In any case, bye.

So many people don't want me on here, no use in imposing myself.
