CEO outages

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

It says at the bottom of the page that there are 22 of us looking browsing this site.

I wonder if any of them can fix a server?

Back in africa we would say that this is a "feature".
Don't change it.

http://www.digitalocean.com - datacenter in Singapore, very low cost - although its totally DIY - theres no backup, unless you do one yourself

I've seen a big increase in speed on the wordpress sites I have on digitalocean, compared to shared hosting

I'd ideally like something in asia for this and a few related sites. Just because the ping times are lower so the page transfers are faster.

I've finally resigned myself that CEO and 2 other sites I have are getting their own server while the rest of my projects and work go on a different one. I wanted to avoid having 2 servers with one beefy (and cheap) one, but at this point it's just unrealistic. Mostly because none of the reliable and beefy ones are cheap (without running into the crap we're dealing with now of overly automated systems).

This is getting beyond a joke! How difficult is it to move from one host to another?

Yep, sorry no helpful suggestions, but even finding CEO is long and painful today. It's hard to get on here and idem for changing threads, posting etc.
I just wait and come back later, but I suppose it's discouraging for potiential clients who are just surfing Cambodia fora...
Sure there are no bugs ? There are no problems "elsewhere" as far as I can see.
