CEO Isn't Really Working For Me

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Sometimes you see posts and you just have to close your eyes, take a deep breath, and shake your head in sheer and utter disbelief at the utter stupidity of the person making them.

Meh, if we ever get as slow and boring as your forum, God help us, LoL.

I'd ask you to send over some members, but I don't think you have any. Image

what forum...i want to join.....
i'm guessing Living in Cambodia...like six members. They don't delete any membership so anyone who joins stays on their "members" count. VERY lame, but typical of the place.

In fact the things KungFu don't like about here are the things that I LIKE. I don't need to see a bunch of twits who think they are witty posting crap to impress each other and just slagging anything that don't move as they like. Maybe it's time for a geezer Cambodia forum. Not sure there is any solution, I've noticed weakness on all the forums I read. It seems to be the new IRC. Some have gotten quite dead.
That's what I like too; It's not a "geezer" forum here- quite the opposite - something open to all, where you can post sincerely without being afraid that the regulars will take the piss.
The old boy style forum is finished - but for those who like it - try next door...
that's rich a 30 something calling a 40 something old. I'm talkin bout those staring at 60 or past it. And I see a lotta piss taking HERE Bub.

I just read through this entire thread. Ugh! Do I win a medal or something for this? I guess I must be particularly bored today. Probably what kept me reading was trying to figure out what it was actually all about, but instead finding some humor in what seems to be a play about prepubescent boys jabbing putdowns at each other. Hey, that comment is not really a putdown, my best days are when I am acting on some old prepubescent dream. But that comes all too seldom these days. Remember back then, the time when people were big and the world was small? Faraway and long ago for me. At any rate, came across this forum hoping to find interesting people doing interesting things in Cambodia, good and bad, but interesting. There seems to be two types of forums I have found. One is high and uplifting and positive, but nobody posts anything. The other is anonymous, contentious and personal with lots of posts. Have I detected some attribute of humanity here? Still trying to figure out if it is possible to be interesting, have real arguments, disagree and be respectful at the same time. Actually it is possible, but I have found only a single online forum like that, and it is not about Cambodia. Lots of posts, lots of disagreements, with lots of people supporting each other, even though they see things differently. Maybe it is really the case here and I just have not been here long enough to see the true culture of admiration love and respect. Okay, I off now, going back to watch the Disney Channel.
I wish I knew a whole lot more, or a whole lot less.

Thanks AM, that explains my confusion. All this time I was thinking "Animal Planet."
