CEO and Khmer440 BLACKOUT!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

TO protect us from hacking/DDoS attempts our ISP shut us down for 3 hours. And then again. I have put in some countermeasures that will hopefully stop the attack from reaching us again... we will see.

On this subject, it seems K440 and us were BOTH the subjects of this attack... and makes me wonder who we have both managed to piss off to such an extent.

With them still down, I'm sure their admins are busy trying to get it all resolved and back up... but once they're done I plan on having a dialogue with them to get to the bottom of it. Meanwhile, we're back in business and I've taken some steps to help prevent it from happening again in the future. Whoever it was really called down a serious bunker buster on us to do it... glad our new ISP was so responsive in protecting us from it while I got countermeasures in place.

Well I am glad you are on our side OD, I didn't understand a word of what you just posted but I can stop having to read the BBC News website now. General, you must also be very interested in the current regal power struggle in Saudi Arabia. Really interesting stuff N O T ! Welcome back :Yahoo!:

OD, have you remembered to send a message here to Bendix, I am sure he will appreciate your valuable update. He is a nice person and knows 'people' or a 'person', who might need to know. I would message him myself but:

'Erm, something is not Ok, because someone has done some sh*t somewhere and others have done stuff to stop that sh*t stuff happening somewhere, to someone and stuff'

...is not a detailed enough message to be of any use but all I can deduce from what you posted. Might be a nice way to build some bridges and combat the little brown, ass crawling rats, at work on the other side and may influence Bendix's 'Friends' outlook.

Sometimes good things can come from bad events

Just a thought
