Caught my eye, photos in Cambodia :)
Re: caught my eye, photo. :)
In 2003, Ochheuteal Beach was still nice. Just some simple shacks like the old Chivas shack and Sandy beach bar, and several Khmer restaurants such as the long-running Sea Dragon in the middle of the beach.
When travelling to Koh Kong there weren't any bridges yet. Your minivan had to cross a few rivers on rudimentary ferries:

One year later in 2004 it was still nice to spend some time on Ochheuteal.

Fast forward to 2011, only 8 years ago. The area around the Golden Lions: Ochheuteal street, Serendipity Beach road (still unpaved), Makara or karaoke street. Not a single high-rise blocking the views.

The road between the ferry landings.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

You can remove that question mark Dunc. That is the spot all right.
I even remember that house frame, it was there for all my Serendipity holidays, 2005-2010,
I used to stay just behind where you took those shots. On the track that goes out along the headland.
Beautiful spot above the rocks. Shady, quiet, breezy, view. Cheap too.
It was an oasis, just 1-200 metres from the Serendipity party scene.
