Cambodian visa from Aus

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Depends what type of Visa you want? How long do you intend to stay for & what is the purpose of your stay?

If you are into Klang why not just go bush in the NT and drink home brew. Cheaper and no jet lag.

In that case the T-type (Tourist) Visa will be fine, and as already posted by Colin, you can apply for the e-Visa (Electronic Tourist Visa) online in advance from https://www.evisa.gov.kh/ . This is the ONLY official site for the e-Visa, do not use any other site. Alternatively, you can easily obtain the T-type Visa on Arrival for $30.

The two advantages of the e-visa are you save a page in your passport and you can proceed directly to the immigration desk on arrival. Oh, and you don't need to bring a photo.
Also the visa on arrival procedure can be a bit intimidating if you're not used to it.
Last time I landed at PNH, I was glad I had got to the carousel promptly because a hi-so Khmer lady had already taken my bag off the belt. Even though it bore some personal tags, she took some convincing that it was not hers. I wonder what she would have done with the bag once she got home and realized her mistake.

yeah the online Visa seems the way to go, we did it last year and got through PP airport pretty quickly
It seemed fairly organised last year, from memory they had the really long counter with maybe 15 people side by side each doing something to your passport and passing it on until you paid at the end

cheap labour I guess
