I know enough to know they are people just as you and me. They care about their families, just like you and me. They care about having the finances to get through life comfortably, just like you and me.
Some if them may dress differently, or eat different foods and obviously have differing beliefs but I don't think that means they'll want to kill me.
You however have resorted to name calling because I don't follow your line. Do you go further with your hatred of people that don't have similar beliefs to you?
Hey your might believe in imaginary friends or gods but i don't...You need to be told what and how to think ,... but I don't....go and hold hands with someone....or even better go on a humanitarian mission to Syria.

Maybe I'm wrong. If your online persona is similar to your real life identity then perhaps there are 2 billion people that do want to kill you.badneighour wrote:Digg3r wrote:LOL, your ignorance is frightening. ?

I doubt though that it's because of their religious beliefs. More that you're an uncouth ignoramus that needs to incessantly utilize your right to freedom of speech regardless of the fact it's showing you to be a member of that exclusive group, the lowest common denominator.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Ok, cleaned up the uncalled for name calling. Don't worry, the "point" of people's posts were not edited in any way.
I wanted to make this a "Rain Dog" approved religion debate, LoL.

Re: Cambodian Muslims Coming to Saudi Arabia to Visit Me!
I must say, I don't know much about Islam... that said, LoL.......
I did attempt to read the Koran many years ago on my own, and didn't make it super far.
First impression: Holy shit! I'm reading the Bible! Same names, same stories, etc..
Was shocked to find out that Muslims consider Jesus a prophet!
This kind of sucks in Saudi, as I was assuming I could yell, "Jesus Christ!" as an expression of fright/shock/disbelief/etc, but that's not the case.
I also thought there was something in the Koran about killing all the infidels. Is there not?
Seemed like a trap to be invited into Saudi Arabia to work.... I was told to just put "Christian" on my application, which kind of seemed like giving the state permission to kill me, LoL.
Personally, I didn't give a fuck what religion I put on my forms, but I'd prefer to keep my head.
The place seems safe. I often wonder the streets at night, alone and nobody bothers me. Ok, I get a slight adrenaline rush when a vehicle makes a sudden stop near me, and for a moment I'm bracing myself to be thrown in the back of a old van and quickly getting ready for my very own cameo on BBC News, LoL.
I feel super safe there, and stealing/robberies are quite rare. Not exactly sure why, maybe it's the penalties?
*Random story:
Myself and coworkers took a taxi to work. About 15 minutes after arriving a dude was like, "Fuck! I've lost my wallet! ! It has about $200 in it!"
Then he says, "I hope I dropped it in the cab..."
WTF? You HOPE you dropped it in the cab? Ha! If so, you'll never see that again!
"Seriously, if the drivers find valuables in their taxi, they're try their best to find the owners and return them. Others have left wallets, laptops, etc, and drivers have come back and dropped them off on campus..."
I was just laughing! Sure enough, about 2 hours later a wrinkly old man came in holding up a wallet. No! Fucking! Way!
They say it happens a lot. Foreign staff, not even some local staff trying to prove to me how honest his people are...
As Digger said, at the end of the day they're all people. Some of different religions, I couldn't care less. It's not like hardly ANYONE even follows their own religion strictly these days, so whatever.
Not having a single bar around is a bitch, but no biggie. I'm more upset about not being able to find a good plate of ribs.

I actually wanted to stay in town for the whole thing, but EVERYONE assured me it would be a total nightmare, especially for a non-Muslim.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:They asked for this morning off because of Hajji. I'm surprised they're not "paid for" by some Saudi organization.
They have a HUGE second airport that's only open during these 2 weeks a year. They say you can just see lines and lines of airplanes coming and going the whole time.
