Cambodian Military WTF

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Well, considering that about 64% of the Cambodian population are 3-star generals, I see nothing strange here.

Just a normal family photo.
I am sooooo very sorry if you can't understand or appreciate my sarcastic facetiousness.

Clearly a modern progressive army, that does not discriminate on the basis of age, gender, nor stature...

Those lot are all entertainers on the big CPP family owned TV stations.

They all hold symbolic ranks in the military and presumably draw a not so symbolic stipend each month to ensure loyalty.

I assume most of you know it is a comedy routine. We're laughing, so I guess it worked.

I spotted that it was a fake as soon as a saw it. The give away was, the kid was wearing no medals.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

I believe you are right.

The guy at the front looking into the camera, isn't he the famous comedian that all Khmers would recognize. (Whose name escapes me at the moment).

They could be on the set for a localized version of Dad's Army.
