Cambodian Man Paid $250 to Free 9 Dogs
Cambodia News: On September 18, 2019 a kind man paid USD 250 to released nine dogs from a dog seller.
Local news today reported that an account named Sam Phannarith posted that " Today I am very happy to buy nine dogs that cost USD 250 from a man who sold pots on the motorbike. I am happy to release those dogs and let them stay alive."
The kindness of the man is admired by people on social media, especially dog lovers. However, we need to stop dog trafficking because the dog is a smart animal and a good friend of people. [Says the article.]
It doesn't say what he plans to do with the nine dogs he has released.

Nice story. I saw a moto just like this with dogs and pots while in a taxi from Poipet a while back, not a fan of dog-eating but I was impressed by the strategy of selling you a dog AND a pot to cook it in. The driver and Cambodian passenger seemed to find it funny too.

In our village the seller trades the pots for the dogs.bittermelon wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 1:19 pm Nice story. As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

That statement says more about you and your social circles than anything else.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

your opinion about me has not been required and is not needed by anyone, who do you think you are ?
I am only talking about facts, a country where people are idiots enough to eat dogs cannot be very smart.

Actually, the vast majority of Khmers don't eat dog meat.jrjrjr wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 3:34 pmJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 3:21 pmThat statement says more about you and your social circles than anything else.

Dog is usually eaten in cold countries like Korea because it heats up the body.

That's some bizarre thinking right there.
1) korea gets friggin hot in summer, dog is eaten year round.
2) Dog is eaten in Vietnam, also not cold.
I could go on but now wonder if your comment was in jest, I do hope so because that's a retarded statement. Although, dog thieves do certainly get warm when being beaten, rightly so, by mobs.

I agree with you 100% but didn't want to post as it seems that on this forum people do not like that truth is told to them.
Thank you for your post.

I have to agree with UT here, even in Cambodia it is eaten because it gives a "hotness". Also, most Cambodian friends and family have told me they would never eat it.Username Taken wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 4:07 pmActually, the vast majority of Khmers don't eat dog meat.jrjrjr wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 3:34 pmJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Thu Sep 19, 2019 3:21 pmThat statement says more about you and your social circles than anything else.

The most notorious dog-eaters are the Koreans. Say whatever you like about them, but they are about as goddamn smart as any people I've ever met.
So it's not my thing either, I tasted a bit one time and thought it was gross, but your correlation between consumption of canine meat and intelligence doesn't seem to pass any scrutiny.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
