Cambodian building design

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Cambodian building design

Is this the latest design. or a cost cutting measure.

Why would you install a door to get out onto the balcony when windows are cheaper.

It’s not a balcony though. Just for decoration (plants etc) as it’s not deep enough plus if it’s a balcony you’d have put railings up which = $$$$ for each room.

You can't access the balcony anyway... because the fridge goes in the living room in front of the window.
You could be next.

"Balcony"? Don't you mean aircon exhaust room and maintenance area?

Well how about the swimming pool that is being built into the roof of the top floor. Under the blue tarp. It's going to be the only pool in Cambodia with waves,,,,,,, microwaves from the phone tower.
Great for the suntan while lazing beside the pool.

Then there's the view you get if your staying in those
apartments at the back.

So this abomination is what replaced the left half of Lyon D'Or? The build quality looks appalling, what the hell use is a foot wide balcony?
Silence, exile, and cunning.
