Cambodian Auctions in Phnom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Tsk tsk. So much negativity by the talkers (posters) on this forum. The naysayers gravitate over from 440 and infect this forum and spread like cancerous tumors. Misery loves company. This is how those kinds of people get energy. It makes their shitty little lives a tiny bit better even for a moment. Good luck Cambodian Auctions. You are doers not just people who talk shit about everything. If you succeed, great. If you don't, just move on. Heaps of people talk about business all the while professing to know everything about anything but very few have the intestinal fortitude to actually try. How do you hen-pecking chickens feel now?

Fail to prepare; prepare to fail.

Putting a half assed word document together in English which ignores the vast Khmer market and get their fucking website address wrong. . .

They have still got time to remedy these basic mistakes. Hopefully they do, and have success.

None of your business. Exactly my point in the first place. If you're offended by my opinion, I'm sorry for your little mind.

Not at all offended. You're the one who seems to be offended by my opinions, ironically enough.

We're making pretty significant points and you start reviewing the situation. Weirdo.

Founder invites investor to auction project. Investor invests $30k. $30k disappears with founder. Investor goes to founder to collect $30k. Founder hands investor his ass and beats him bloody in Str 13 guest house.

I hate to tell you guys, but there have been auctions in Cambodia for years now. I keep meaning to check them out as you can get a lot of real bargains there. Bit carpet-bagish though. So many people come and set up a business , buy all the stuff they need at max price. Then when the business fails, they find they can't sell their stuff at anywhere near the price they paid. Sometimes it goes to auction. Same for people setting up a home and family. The interesting stuff is government sell off vehicles, etc. So I am told by an English Pikey who has been doing quite well out of buying and selling fo a few years now.
