Cambodia in new inter-provincial travel lockdown from 12-16 Nov?
Cambodia in new inter-provincial travel lockdown from 12-16 Nov?
Yesterday I heard a speech (I think it was published on FB), supposedly from Mr. HE, announcing closure of provincial borders for inter-provincial travel (for some provinces?) from the 12th until the 16th. I couldn't confirm the source, and I can not find an announcement of this news through the official channels. Also haven't seen the news announced here.
Am i missing something? Is it true?

You are missing something,
It was doing the rounds on social media but it didn’t make any sense to me. Why only 4 days?
So I looked back to check the dates of the Khmer New Year lockdown and lo and behold it was 12-16th April. On listening again to the clip there is no mention of the month so I deduced that it was the announcement from April recirculated this time for shits and giggles.

That one around Khmer New Year was announced on the 9th and started the 10th. The speech I heard yesterday specifically talked about 12th-16th.khmerhamster wrote: ↑Wed Nov 11, 2020 9:38 am You are missing something,

Wasn't t there a bit of fluidity with it back then?
I seem to remember that a future lockdown (12-16) was announced and then brought forward by a few days at v short notice.
Or is my memory playing tricks on me?
Anyhow my staff also say they heard it and dismissed it as old news being regurgitated (apart from 2 gullibles).
If it was current then it surely would be all over the news

I specifically heard here in Thailand that Cambodia was not going to impose any kind of new restrictions, the question was related to an article about a Hungary's foreign minister being diagnosed with COVID It was in the news since I don't do any other form of social media.

HE was quoted in the online press today as saying there will be no lockdown and no ban on inter-provincial travel. For now, anyway.
