Cambodia gripped by Pokemon Go yet?
Cambodia gripped by Pokemon Go yet?
Just curious, as other countries and back home it seems so many people now are doing this. I wonder if it's caught on there yet?
I won't be back until later this month or next month. I wonder if we have people on motos going around trying to "catch them all". lol

No, it hasn't been released in Cambodia yet.
I think it is only the U.S, Japan, Australia and New Zealand that can currently play.

I'm on a project in the desert and they already have it here. Maybe it's only available via the respective countries app store. Which is decided by how you sign-up originally or cc info. Not sure.

Yes, if you have an account from any of those countries you will be able to download it. There is also the unofficial APK (android) files which you can download from the internet.
I doubt it will take off in Cambodia either way but it is a wonderful piece of technology and will set the tone for a lot of future games, with or without virtual reality.

Why Pokémon Go isn't the dream come true you think it is.
Pokémon Go requires the user to give permission to several privacy intrusions: location services, camera usage and data, time zone, and so on. It’s not surprising people are already questioning what Pokémon creator Nintendo will do with this data, and whether it’s smart to allow companies so much access into our whereabouts and daily patterns. This debate is already hotly contested in the area of crime surveillance, wiretapping and personalised advertising. How much should technology be allowed to know about you? Where is the line between “a little bit creepy” and “downright dangerous”?

Yeah. There are already stories in the US of people being robbed because everyone close can see them or lure them in.
