Yeah, but it was not all the war's fault. (and not just in US)
Many of those older folks used to be fully literate - with all the analytic, critical thinking, discernment skills, etc that good education brings.
But then they started watching Fox and all those abilities simply evaporated.

It's a bit of a worry, apparently facebook and smartphones do the same thing. swipe.
So the youth, everywhere, are lost to civilisation too.

So maybe it's not such a bad thing that the all this non-stop crap consumption, including all that tech candy, is going to snuff out life as we know it on this planet anyway.

Maybe if someone comes up with an App that explains really simply how this current trajectory just cannot go on...
Do you reckon that would get humankind to start acting like literates again?

Sorry PR, actually your anti-Cambodia posts do keep a level of awareness going for those at the other end of the spectrum who are perhaps dangerously in love with Cambodia to the point of blindness; keep 'em coming!

Dont hate Cambodia at all, ( why would i move there if i hated the place?) nor do i find it the paradise many here seem to think it is......

@phuketrichard Has found the perfect balance, not hating the country and not falsely believing it’s a paradise. He deserves kudos for reaching that kind of balance, any reaction to him otherwise must be envy.

I've got an elderly friend who is arriving in PP today for his 4 day annual snowbird visa run first ever visit to Cambodia. If PP was a smart city he'd most definately be in trouble. He isn't big on location research so I hope he makes it back in one piece, looking forward be hearing his first impressions in comparison to his last 2 year trips to Saigon and Yangon.

Fox is the loyal opposition to the mainstream media who tell people what to think. Their motto is ‘you decide’. More information and viewpoints is better, isn’t it?

Anyways, tech is a tool. It can be used to liberate all mankind, or enslave it. People decide how it will be used.

Yeah, i guess you're right.
a bit like, let's say - supermarkets, in that way.
The problem is some people get hooked on them, and make all kinds of totally irrational actions - like buying stale "fresh" food for much higher prices than at the local market.
