Oh my Buddha/builder

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Oh my Buddha/builder

Post by Duncan »

If god created man, WTF did Buddha create. [ Cambodians ],,, I decided to install a extra toilet and shower on the top floor, and as it will be located exactly where the water tank is, I got the builder to move the tank to a temporary position so the house would not be without water while he built the walls and the concrete roof that it will sit on. I reckoned it would take more than a week plus time for the concrete to cure hard. So he moved it to a temp position on Monday and all was OK, and working.

Then on Tuesday when I was not there he decides to do the plumbing first and disconnects the water supply, then do the concreting and plastering.

Now will have no water for ????? days.

Tank in tempory position.

He says he had to disconnect it cause the water will not flow up to that pipe on the LH side. He's right of course, but he should not have installed it until everything else was done. [ Fuckin idiot ]

Note the valve on the floor LH side . That was connected to our water supply.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Exactly!

You should have locked him in the basement, bound and gagged, and PERHAPS you would have been OK.

These guys get an idea in their heads, you have no chance

You must've known that Duncan, but you went out to get some beers anyway. Now there's no water, so you'll have to get even more beer in. It's a vicious circle.
