Broom Broom
Probably no-one here knows much about these highly efficient household tools, but when ever I have to sweep the floor for dust, I always prefer to use the standed Cambodian broom over the mass manufactured plastic type cause they do a much better job. That is, unless it's heavy dirt or involves water. I guess it just goes to show that the latest invention and designs sometime cannot beat the old style.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.

Re: Broom Broom
Very true.
Old style Cambodian broom has been used & perfected over many generations.
Also observe the Cambodian's technique: idle hand placed behind the back at coccyx height, palm facing outwards.
Really helps with sweeping efficiency.

I've had to use one (once).
Much more effective than those plastic pieces of shit.

Re: Broom Broom
I vacuum, but I also preferred them for general light dirtiness. The plastic bristles last longer though and tend to do better with heavier/wetter surfaces. For everything else, the old stuff is best (and it's also made of natural materials).

Re: Broom Broom
The plastic one is for bathrooms and wet surfaces only. It's like a scrubbing brush with a handle. It is not a broom, which is why it doesn't work as a broom. Hope that helps
