Blind and traveling USA to Cambodia in two days!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

About the dogs - its a serious menace.

if you read my post and @John Bingham post - they are genuine experiences.

I have to walk my dog daily and whichever way I go is fighting.

They don't chain their dogs here and i have only ever seen one person with a lead besides me.

There is a regular customer at Lone Star Saloon in Phnom Penh who is completely blind. If you go to Lone Star and ask for him, they can put you in touch with him and maybe he can help.
He travels throughout the region on his own without too much difficulty.

Best of luck

He needs to get to know her for himself. If she says she loves him, and you say she is scamming him, who will he believe?

I hope he has a good one. There are some good girls in Cambodia. If this one doesn't work out, there are others. But is difficult to meet them in a short time.

Is there anyone willing to volunteer to meet him, and show him the ropes?

Post a reply. Click on the icon just to the right of where it says normal. Then select your photo.

Surely not? I went once, but didn't have a camera so decided to go again a year later and was bored to tears half way around. You are trolling or are the most easily impressed/entertained man of all time.

Go for it Dave.
The trip, the girl, taking Monty, getting out and around. All of it.
You are obviously sharp enough to surf the pavements, pot holes and pit falls.
Suggestion - the millions of square metres of carvings, engraving and reliefs covering the Angkor Wat temples would probably be an amazing experience for the tactilely talented.

Remember, a good experienced, english speaking, traditional tuk tuk driver is worth gold.
Don't heed the nay-sayers, just step out with friendliness, confidence, and curiosity.
I presume you have good intuition - that will probably get you further than a good pair of eyes in Cambodia.

Thanks. I don’t know if I will need a tuk tuk driver because her cousin is a taxi driver. He will drive her to the airport because she is afraid to come alone she says the road has thieves?

She is taking two weeks off from the shop where she works and her cousin is taking time off work too too drive us to her village and to Siem Reap. Should I offer him money for that or would it cause offense?
