Blind and traveling USA to Cambodia in two days!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Do the mods share IP info without approval?
dont need share , just a simple yea or nay
BUT
you'd never know if he used a vpn so really an ip address is worthless for verifying anyone's where about's

Would a blind person use a vpn? Why?
seriously? :please: why would anyone use a vpn? Protect their location/identity..

]I figured the photo of "himself and monty" that when enlarged the reflection in the sunglasses shows it is a phone selfie pretty much was conclusive proof, oh and monty is a free-range seeing-eye dog. While the free-range seeing-eye dog is a more humane way to go, they are nowhere near as safe. Monty stops at the curb but where is the damn dog anyway? That is why the harnessed seeing-eye dog is most common I suspect.

You're missing my point/question. Let me try to restate it.

Do blind people use vpns?
Would a blind person normally think 'oh I should use a vpn'?

Next question:
If a member based in the US always uses a vpn, then comes to Cambodia, would he continue to use a vpn because that's what he always does, or would he not use a vpn because it's not necessary anymore?

People normally use vpns to hide their location.

Would blind people want to hide their location? Very unlikely.

If a person uses a vpn in the US to hide his location, would he want to hide his location when in Cambodia? It depends on the situation, and why the person is hiding their location.

I know of a person in Cambodia using a vpn because he likes to watch live sports, and bet on them. The sports he watches are blocked from being seen in Cambodia, and this is how he gets around it.

What about journalists and whistle blowers who want to send information from an unknown location? What about people involved in criminal activity on the internet?

For the people who really want to hide their location and identity, there are more sophisticated ways of doing it.

Vpns cost money. Most people are not going to spend money unless there is a good reason to hide their location.

Would a deaf dwarf use a VPN to hide their location?

People are asking if this is a real person or a troll.

I think everybody should be polite and respectful, and treat him as a real person unless there is a genuine reason to believe it is a troll. People guess what they think, then treat the guesses as facts. In many cases they are wrong.

I think he is a real person.

I think he finds some of the things said on this forum offensive, which discourages him from getting really involved in the discussion.

People ask for photos. Are blind people concerned about photos? Do blind people take photos? I know, some people are legally blind, but can see a little, so may be interested in photos.

People say prove you are real. Does the photo he sent prove anything? Is there any proof it was taken in Cambodia? Is there any proof that it is him?

If it was a troll, it would be very unlikely the troll is blind. So all of the questions about being blind become irrelevant.

If this guy gets busted smuggling meth using his dog's pooper for a hideout then this story is believable but not the "" blind part" same adventure writer as before I'm thinking. Pretty good story teller all in all kinda gifted. unconscious virtue signaling at its finest to believe this love story good to see the best in people the atm part was pretty funny
