Black Discrimination in Asia (Chinese)

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

In all fairness, a lot of Asian people also think that white people stink.

An American friend who worked in Jakarta for many years was told by her office colleagues that she, and many westerners, smelled of cheese.

It's all about culture.

When I was working in the DRC and Rwanda, none of my staff ever washed in the way we know it. They would have an immersion in Lake Kivu once in every while but as that was a volcanic lake, it did not really help much. Washing all over simply was not in their culture. After a while you kind of got used to the stench.

The worst was on a BA flight from Kampala to London. Even in business class, the stench of body odor was almost unbearable and that was just the air stewardesses.

It's true. All white people smell of cheese. Even the vegans.

Aboriginal Australians have a unique aroma. It somehow tends to linger in your car after it's been stolen too.

Yep no matter how clean I am on the bus some Simon Pure will place an ounce of tiger balm under each nostril and then cover that with one of those cheap surgical masks.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

Not much help as no two cheeses smell the same. Which type of cheese is it we are supposed to smell like.

More facts please.

I'm unsure. Personally, I'd be offended if I was said to resemble Blue Vein. Cream Havarti not so much.
