Bit of Mumps Going Around
Not sure how useful this maybe, but there is a bit of mumps going around.
Daughter and myself both got it ATM. She says that a few kids at school had it recently.
I look like Brando's Godfather character with really swollen cheeks.
Just sayin.

Sorry to hear that - be careful with that one mate, not as easy for adults as it is for kids.Joker Poker wrote:Not sure how useful this maybe, but there is a bit of mumps going around.

Thanks. Pretty wasted physically so far but hanging in there. Not quite sure what the night will bring - last night was pretty crap trying to sleep. Got up this morning for a whiz and scared myself when I looked in the mirror.StroppyChops wrote:Sorry to hear that - be careful with that one mate, not as easy for adults as it is for kids.Joker Poker wrote:Not sure how useful this maybe, but there is a bit of mumps going around.

Cheers SC!
I looked at the Mayo Clinic site earlier today, don't think it was as comprehensive as that but the noggin isn't quite at full speed today.
It's weird, I usually sweat heaps on days like today but hardly felt it today despite keeping well hydrated.
Fever only about 1 degree C above normal so far.
Nothing on a dose of Dengue so far, but I don't want to tempt fate.

Fluids (electrolyte, not alcohol) and about three to five days of bed rest, and manage the pain.

Is there a brand name for electrolyte that I should get here? Buy from pharmacy?
Crap night no 2. Just can't sleep.

No, the drink sachets you can get at most minimarts are fine

Royal-D. Available at most pharmacies and some mini-marts.
The orange one is more of a vitamin C drink.
The purple one is the electrolyte one. But, both are good to keep your hydrated.
