Best local fast food chain?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Best local fast food chain?

Post by HaifongWangchuck »

It's come a long way since it was only Lucky Burger. What's your favourite local fast food chain? I really like Pong, though I rarely get it since it's extremely overpriced and so I have to wait until I get a really good offer in FoodPanda.

What other places are good in the Kingdom or in your province?

“Best” and “fast food chain” = oxymoron.

I like the quirky coffee shoppes and cafes that sprout up, but I'll confess to sometimes returning to Krispy Kreme or some such monstrosity for their sweets.

In the local food chains, i'd say the best and fastest is probably the Immigration people, because you can pay and exit quick.
There's also the scam phone centers, which is pretty bad because you get beaten, and it can last pretty long, as a slave, even if there's a chance of escaping this nightmare.
Prison is the slowest food chain, and you get eaten for sure, if you can't pay a hefty price.

Depends on price/value.

Freedomburgers 1.25$ fishburgers are quite nice value when you just need to stuff something down.

Chicken pops chicken burger is also quite nice. 2.25$ for a chicken burger if i remember right. Just chicken, sauce and lettuce but hits the spot.

Grab chicken has more then one location i think. Spice shaken fires (bbq/seaweed/spicysour flavors) 4500khr for a small one and bbq is my favorite, proper bbq spice. Chicken nuggets 5500khr for a small one. Comes with different dip sauces included.

Not sure if all are Cambodian only but i never seen those three anywhere else anyway.

For fast food Habit really kicks ass

But expensive AF

However their coupon game is very strong - 1 to 2 can eat free with correct coupon combo making high price for one OK

Agree , could not justify the expense after the newness of the place wore off .
Only saw one real “ deal “ , but never saw any coupons , just a sign out front
during a festival , it said the habit burger 🍔 was just for 10,000 local money
With a small plastic bottle of coke to go along , obviously a coke promo
so went for a few of them before it ended .
The last day no more coke so just the burger was still better than normal price
If they didn’t advertise on myface I’d never know because I don’t ride up to look for sign deals
That just leaves Burger King , and the only thing Piss jr. will eat is double cheese burger
And that costs more than a whopper !
I used to be a spendthrift but I don’t go out of my way any more to get $3.00 bottle large bottle of beer at the supermarket
Or just to tried a couple recently for $3.00 small bottles at the new craft beer store on my way home from market .
Since I quit drinking 😉.

I am off fast food since 2018 ... but ... if they had Taco Bell bean & cheese green burrito here ... I would eat that.
