Cambodian News (Phnom Penh): An Ukrainian man, aged about 30 years old, who was homeless and sick in Cambodia, was helped by a beautiful Cambodian woman. She helped the man to buy some food, a place to stay, and paid for some medical treatment, and also a plane ticket back to his country on July 22, 2020.

The kind woman was identified as Kong Naknin, the CEO of Marcol company, who bought the ticket for the Ukrainian man to help him to get back home. She said after receiving the information about the foreigner who became homeless in her country, she and her friend decided to help him. She wanted him to get back to his family in his hometown.


The Ukrainian man came to Cambodia during 2019 as a tourist. Then, he had no money to return home, so he worked in a restaurant but only got a small pay. During COVID 19 period, he lost his job, and got a physical disease. He became homeless and there is no Ukrainian Embassy in Cambodia to help him. Fortunately, he met a kind woman who helped him to go back home.

Also, I have so many questions aaaand double-also it is worth noting that beauty is in the eye of the beholder before anyone pipes up with that old nugget "where's the pic of the beautiful woman".

But regardless props to this lady for helping out someone in need, I was wrong to bring her appearance into the discussion - but whoever keeps adding 'beautiful girl' in the headline regarding any story involving a Khmer woman needs to grow up.

Indeed it would be a beautiful person to help as she did!
