Baltimore....

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

RD... Try reading the article. A number of your bullet points are from you not actually understanding the information you've been given. Such as the difference between a legal homicide and an ME homicide. Or why people pass out/foam at the mouth from a submission hold (clue: its not because they can't breathe).

You've heard snippets and keywords and feel it enough to form an opinion even when you don't actually understand what you've been told.

People can complain all they want, but they should really be putting forward solutions instead. How would they want the police to deal with someone who doesn't want arrested? When someone frees their arm, should they take the risk they are going for a weapon? Should we put criminals wellbeing before the wellbeing of the police?

yeah, they should make them illegal so all of the law abiding criminals would stop having them.

Nor ball-point pens, apparently.

Hate to say this, but you've got a point there! sorry.
(That was the little old lady on a plane if I remember - stabbed her seatmate because he snored. We shall have to board totally nude soon I guess.)

I have actually followed this case quite closely and understand the specifics of it. Silly deflections about why people foam at the mouth do nothing except try to draw attention away from the facts of the case:

Again A) There is zero evidence the guy was a threat to anyone. B) A banned and deadly choke hold was applied to him. C) Four Cops piled on to him. D) He died due to this unprovoked attack on him E) The death was ruled a homicide F) He walked away with no disciplinary action.

I really cannot imagine anyone other than a cop who thinks cops can do no wrong, or a lawyer representing him, that could support the cop in this case --- it is so much more clear cut than some other cases like Ferguson.

Anyway you are entitled to your POV, and rather than continue to deal with so many of your deflections aimed at distracting from the basic facts in this case I think best we just agree to disagree.

Cheers,

RD
