Bakerman Warns of Cheating Expat in the Sihanoukville/Kampot Area

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

To anyone it may concern, the issue posted above has been resolved. The post was quite unnecessary considering the problem sprouted from myself being out of the country for a few days for business. The large lump sum of $5.80 has been paid in full. This cheating expat is actually quite a nice guy who was just unable to work on a timeline of a community member with quite a reputation himself. I need not say anymore. Best regards - JC

How long ago did you get the baguettes and why didn't you pay for them when you got them and before fleeing the country with the stolen baguettes?

There was a civil miscommunication on pricing and size of the order. All was resolved after, I just had to leave for visa concerns to Thailand. No cohorts or evil shenanigans sadly

@gavinmac: surely this must rate as the cheapest defamation in forum history?

$6, one off, gets someone a bad name.

When did you get the baguettes, and why didn't you pay for the baguettes at the time you got the baguettes like everyone else in the baguette eating world?

There's a lot of dough involved here, and I see the amount has already risen from $5.80 to $6. I'm speculating here but I think it's not a case of a bad name here but a bad yeast.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

I owe the 123 shop in SHV $3.01 and I have left the country. If they are reading this I haven't forgotten and I can send £2 worth of Smith's vouchers to the recipient of your choice.

bakerman has great products and does not put up with monkeyshines.

Pomelochef says that bakerman has "quite a reputation himself."

yeah- he has been in some argy bargy with the local mini marts holding his product until moldy etc. he cut them off and made a fuss about it on FB last year. seems they could have just returned unsold product to him for credit but were too lazy iirc. he is some kind of teuton and is pretty dam scrupulous. hard nut- hard boiled. there are a few legionnaires down there in the food biz and you would not want to cross them
dont know if he is one as they do not much advertize unlike USN SEALS
they hold all to their own high standards LOL.
they all have great food ( the ffl aka Legion Etranger hosts) and mostly dam cheap.
i am growing to appreciate the long French presence here now with some exposure.
