Bad Press-But Cambodia is Still Awesome!
With the first four listed topics on the Newsworthy section featuring Cambodia, Foreigners, and Peadophiles, it does look like the people who stereotype this place are right.
But this is not the Cambodia that treats me so well.
-The weather is lovely.
-The locals no longer live in fear of their government.
-Other towns and cities are exotic; Battambang (French colonial buildings), Kep (Best Crabs Ever),
Siem Reap (Angkor Wat of course), Kratie (freshwater Dolphins).

If you think the standout of battambang is the "French colonial buildings" you have either never been there or just regurgitating comments from guidebooks where the authors have never been there.

Fine, I don't care if you disagree or disagree, just put the "f"ing knife away.

I would've highlighted the bamboo train but that is no longer in transit. I never laid claim to having been to such places.
Please though, by all means give a good example.

Vlad, your posts are great, but it's really bad form to tout a place you've never been to You defeat your own premise which becomes Cambodia is a wonderful place only if you've never been to it.

Are talking about the Aussie government, or the USA government ?
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Here's a hint Duncan, this is a thread about Cambodia. Once again I assume too much sophistication on the reader's part.
