Bad Press-But Cambodia is Still Awesome!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

For Vlad who wrote "Taabarang's speech projected this image in my mind;" There is unfortunately some truth in what you wrote-finally. I once wrote that I liked you posts but after your lamentable sophomoric blurb on how to make all Cambodians rich, not only do I realize that you have no understanding about this country, but also you must have had a lobotomy in the near past. No worries you can always get a job as a social commentator for Lonely Planet. You are especially strong in writing about places you've never seen. They should snap you right up.

For Dara. Yes I am disgruntled about much in this country. Like your posts it falls to live up to the low standards it sets for itself.

It is Vlay don't associate or confuse me with others. If you disagree with my posts and opinions, then that's great. To clarify, I mentioned one area which I had passed through and not visited, only described as to how others described it to me. I'm not sure I ever remember talking about how making Cambodians rice..maybe you're getting too much sun.

Dara, you are not only misguided in your posting, but medical knowledge is way beyond your ability to make a diagnosis. If you wish to impress others with your wit with try to attack those more feeble than you, if there are any.

taa, Foe is your friend. Put em on "ignore".

as to your disgruntlement...THIS is where I think Cambodians are brilliant. The standards are set SO LOW that a dead man can almost live up to them. I find it very easy to do nothing all day but think about eating, go look for something to eat, and then eat it. THEN, and this is even easier. Sit and do NOTHING.

I still insist Cambodia will get more and more interesting almost weekly as HALF of them have no memory or real knowledge of the KR bad times. And DO have knowledge of smartphones and such. "Old" Cambodia is dying by the thousands each week and "New" "Cambodia" is entering their prime, and making the future NOW more and more. Now true, it's probably not for the best but it's gonna be INTERESTING :)
