Thailand doesn't want bikers either :-)
The leader of an Australian outlaw motorcycle gang has been refused entry into Thailand, despite his bail conditions allowing him to leave the country.
Mick Murray, head of the Comancheros bikie gang, flew out of Melbourne on Thursday night after a magistrate granted him permission to do so.
But when the 41-year-old arrived in Thailand hours later, border authorities denied him entry based on his lengthy criminal record.

I saw a clubhouse for the Diablos setup just past Durian Circle before the school, on the right on the road to saltworkers circle.

Few patched members inside. Tiny little place.

I guess they didn’t get the memo..

Pieman, I was not questioning what Visa's people were on.

My comment was, are and were the people that are affected adhering to the rules of whatever Visa they had at the time.

Foe example anybody working or earning money (I guess that would include you) should have had a Business Visa, company registration or work for a registered company and the correct paperwork to legally work or be employed in Cambodia.

By stopping people at Immigration it saves all the legwork of trying to find them.

Thailand doesn’t want any of us unless you’re rich and on an expat package from a big company

Regarding having the correct documents, paperwork such as business licence, and obviously EB EOS and work permit, a few years back we had (that is all westerners) running businesses had a visit from the immigration officers of Phnom Penh, also an officer whom I know from the works and labour department, in tow were also local police. The bar as never been has full. But it was all conducted very professional, owners or workers of business if they did not have everything in order had fines to pay, and back payments for holding the correct working visa but not holding a work permit, if working or not, people too had been given an official receipt of payments and fines, the ones whom did not comply are not working anymore. They, that is immigration spent about ten days in Koh Kong, also calling at the homes of many barangs to look at their passports and valid visas.

I could not believe this thread when I first saw it, I messaged Stevie C to see if it was true, he confirmed and really didn't know the answer why, but said it had been very costly experience to himself.
I know at the time I left Koh Kong already there seemed to be small change happening in the way of Chinese investment, and on a visit back at one time I had been told by two Khmer restaurant owners (but renting the properties) on the main street, with uncertainty they need to earn. They told me that their leases end in less then a year and would not be renewed to them. Chinese tenants have secured the new leases.
Always "hope" but never "expect".

Working on the wrong visa type is not a bannable offence. Had they been selling orange juice they'd be let off with a warning. newsworthy/australian-james-neal-pascoe ... 18189.html

There is another reason.
