Authorities Blacklist Rebels MC Cambodia (Motorcycle Club) from Entering Country

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. Last month when myself and my two sons departed through Pochentong, we went to the immigration desk together rather than one at a time. The immigration officer processed the kids' passports first then seemed to take a little longer checking mine. Then, out of nowhere, a more senior immigration officer with more stripes on his shoulders and more ribbons on his chest came and sat at the desk while the original officer stood up and stood behind the senior guy. I was thinking, 'Oh yeah, what's this all about?'.
The senior guy never said a word, but took some time on the computer before he eventually stood up and gave the other officer a nod of approval. My passport was handed back to me and we proceeded on through the gate.

What was that all about? Were they checking a list?
Interesting - I had something similar this week...

On the way to Bangkok immigration asked me about my job and wanted my business card (which I didn't have). I told him I had a Work Permit but he said it was fine and let me through.

Upon return I was also questioned about my type of employment. He also had a hand written paper with VISA numbers that he went through comparing one-by-one. I am guessing those are the blacklisted visas. I didn't see photos of people - just the hand written note.

The list is from Lockies funeral.
So this move would seem to be specifically targeting 23 people who attended a funeral?

Now I'm not very good at maths but are you saying two more of the 23 on the list were banned just today.

Did they just leave and attempt to return today to see what would happen or did they get a visit .

I think you mean the wake.

I know someone who was at the funeral at the wat but luckily it seems not at the wake. They renewed their visa 3 weeks ago and left the country a couple of days after with nothing said.

Are (were) there only 10 rebels, their friends and girlfriends in this country?
There's more shit going on here than " he attended a wake/funeral"!

Oh please, wake up people, there is no big conspiracy theory.

The majority of people at the Wake (not all) were people who have stayed in the Kingdom of Wonder for many years under various visas have been found out,
they were doing other than the visa stipulated and were happy to bend the rules.

The Cambodian Government now wants a clean out, pretty simple really.

It will only get worse, so for all those on visas that do not relate to their situation sort it out before you are excluded, and start to complain on CEO.
