So do Aussies. I did try a few (pies, not Aussies) and found that they tasted like crap but then, so do English pies.

There you go again bringing the Warriors into this. That's a low blow even for an Aussie.Hotdigr wrote:Copied form another thread, my comment but!
Ozzies and Kiwi's actually get on really well together. We share the same dry and laconic sense of humour. We give each other shit all the time, but when it comes down to it, would rely on and trust each other more then we would almost any other race. Read Stroppy's (long winded lol) post. It captures the relationship pretty bloody well. And screw the cricket - how are the Warriors doing this year? LMFAO and GO THA BRONCO'S!
The Warriors are trying their best and that's all we ask of them. They are special like, riding the short bus to school special.

It's a bit hard to decide whether a person is a Kiwi, because they were born there or a Australian cause they live there, but jump the ditch every so often. Many , like myself, until recently even had two passports.Duncan wrote:Most Aussies would be shocked if they knew the nationality of their famous singers, song writers and bands, along with their tv presenters movie stars, sports hero's , Kiwi's are quite happy to let the subject of nationality slide while they get on with living and making a better life.
So lets start a list of famous Australians, who were born in NZ.
Here's a few that I know of
Manu Bennett, actor in The Hobbit
Keith Urban
Allison Durbin
Neil, Tim Finn
Sam Neil
John Clark [ Fred Dagg ] TV
Derryn Hinch TV/Radio commentator
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.

Thanks Anchor Moy for creating this thread, i hope i will learn more about these two nations from this thread. So far, i don't have anything to share, i will keep reading. It is sad that i didn't manage to get to meet many kiwi while i met a lot of Aussies. It would be great if i could hear from both sides. One thing i noticed is that Aussie always make joke of Kiwi for not opening their mouth when speaking English.

If you know a lot, know enough to make them respect you, if you are stupid, be stupid enough so they can pity you.

I think you may have that joke back to front,,, It's the kiwi's wanting the aussies to shut their mouths when speaking Australian.
