Asian Dating Site Names Battambang as City of the Month

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You might actually, but you might have to be somewhat charming to get them to go out with you.

I lived there about 6 years ago, it was a nice place and plenty to do.

I love Battambang, but it moves at a slower pace than other 'cities' in Cambodia. We're always back and forth between Battambang and Bangkok, and it's not too bad of a trip. It's gotten a lot better in recent years as more cafes and bars have opened up, but it's still a laid back place.

It's beautiful. A fair amount of things to do. Highlights for me would be seeing the bats leave the caves every night and having night caps at Bambu Hotel, a really nice place with a lovely expat bar and an amazing pool.

It kind of reminds me of Kampot before it got overcrowded. If you haven't been, check it out!

The term dating is so fucking ridiculous.
Do expats think a date is dinner and a movie with Nancy Kwan?
Do Asian females think they are going out with a gentleman who they may go to first base with if they are nice?
Or is it like the black whores on Troost in KCMO in the 70s who asked you if you wanted a date? And your response was ..how much for half and half?
I know Battambang has a great bat soup to rival any wet market in wuhan.
The giant black statue is a must for a picture just like the giant durian in Kampot or giant crab in Kep.
My Khmer wife went with my old landlord last summer when I was in the USA and she said it was boring.
I suspect it a great place to live a quiet life...go fishing..
BYOD...bring your own date....

I would think any large town like that should have at least a few attractive women. The woman in the picture was not that unusual in my judgement, just the way the photo is taken and she's done up.

There's lots to do in BTB if you don't need INSTANT gratification, or hyper tourist-oriented attractions. Great place to live. None of my friends here have problems getting dates. Way less of the seedy bullshit that you get in other cities, too. And if it (or anywhere in Cambodia) is too far away for you to go, try driving. It's faster.

A lot of those Battambang chicks are actually dudes, I blame it on Thai influence.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
