HEY! That dude was trying to borrow my phone at Slur bar the other night. Seriously. He had a cowboy hat on. I was following Tipsy Tuk Tuks around to write about it for the Advisor since Josh is headed to England in a couple days it was his final run, he sold the business to somebody, we had like 25 or 30 Peace Corps Volunteers with us lol.

That guy was obsessed with getting that phone out of my hands but I told him no I don't let strangers "borrow my phone to get some footage" of the band, and then what, I gotta fuckin email it to him? I thought he was just drunk, but nope that's him right there. Claimed he was a sound man or something, claimed he was from someplace other than Canada too.

EDIT: Looked over the thread ... I for sure saw him at Slur Bar and spoke with him for several minutes last Friday evening, nearly a week ago. And then he came back to me after the initial conversation and kept asking to borrow my phone and I was just like ... uh, no. But he was here as of last Friday.

Does he ever go by the name Jack? He really looks like someone I know who has spent time living in Cambodia.

I reckon he's hanging out along the riverside near Titanic. Saw a weird dude there the other day and saw him again this afternoon, made me think of this thread - reckon it's the guy.

Latest info about Gary Best/Garnet Best from Facebook:

...he was pushing drugs, claimed to be undercover, and also seemed to know at least one seemingly legit businessman (not sure if the reverse is true). Anyway, I found myself in a potentially compromising situation by being too friendly/naive after this guy introduced himself.

He's been arrested! ! ! !

Ok, so it sounds like he's been attacking and robbing people on RiverSide.

He fucked with the wrong dude, and got his ass kicked!

Jumped jumped in the river and when he came back the police grabbed him! Wow!

And they found drugs and a big knife on him! ! !

The news says he's Australian, but I still think he's Canadian.

I remember he used to always be on the riverside years ago playing Sai, that thing that Cambodians kick around with a feather on it.

We have our man! !

I don't mind that particular guy getting roughed up one bit. Put that psycho in a local jail for a few years and then get his ass on a plane home, FFS. That's quite a knife.
