We are guests in this country

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Disappointing.
You have to stop assuming that people are tuned to forums 24/7 and will respond within the next 24 hours.
It's an interesting thread and everybody's chipping in. LTO will chip in when he feels he wants to.
You assume that I assume.
I actually checked LTO's profile to see when he had last logged in before making that post. As he had logged in at 18:25 (?from memory?) that day I reached the conclusion that he was online but declining to comment further.

I'm looking forward to reading your updates.
Bon voyage!
Well, I finally am where I am, no more traveling for a week or so. Looking back through the thread, I am not sure what I can add at this point. Everything seems to have been pretty well handled by others. Dont know enough about Che to make any comments except that he if he were still alive he'd be the tee-shirt king.

Born to parents who live almost exactly on the opposite side of the globe from Cambodia. Three long plane rides with 6-8 hour layovers between flights to get here ... lovely Orlando.

Harsh! Be easier to ship them to you for visits. Trying to talk my mother into it for exactly that reason.

They visited me here a few times way back when. (Had my Mom here for a visit just a couple of months after the factional fighting in 97.) But now Dad is 93 and Mom 82, so long distance travel is too difficult for them.

93 is good wicket, I like folk at that age because generally they have truly ceased to care about being politically correct, and this is as it should be - they've earned it.
