anyone miss candy from their home country?

If you're after UK sweets & stuff, then this is the place to go: https://www.aquarterof.co.uk/Khmu Nation wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 11:24 am Twinkies aren’t from the UK. I went back to England for Xmas and was requested to buy various crisps such as frazzles monster munch etc . Forgot and came back with nothing
Must admit shipping cost is a bit eye watering, but watching a Khmer have their first rhubarb & custard was worth it.
Your other problem is keeping the ants out of the sugary stuff as they won't all be wrapped in plastic like domestic sweet. Best to get airtight jars to put sweets & things in, I picked up a few from Thai Huot, all good.

I'm too busy eating fresh tropical fruit, French pastries, Italian desserts, homemade mango-date bread, scones with honey, German chocolate, etc.
I'd eat a twinkie if paid $100. Well, maybe $50.

Plenty of processed food at the various supermarkets. I miss Cornish pasties sometimes and strawberries that don't look half dead when you buy them. My Mum brought some Cornish cheese over once. That was a treat.

My standing order for friends that travel to the states is tums 1000 mgs 160 tablets, ( $9.50)
Can by buy generic brand in PP, BUT 750 mgs 96 tablets $8.50, not available at all in Thailand

Bagels from NY suck, though they're admittedly probably better than anything currently in the kingdom.

So you would a twink for $100, bargained down to $50....??
Made me laugh sir.... But then I'm a Brit
Twink is gay slang for a young man in his late teens to early twenties whose traits may include: general physical attractiveness; little to no body or facial hair; a slim to average build; and a youthful appearance that may belie an older chronological age.
Mmmmm - can't get over American Terms for Chocolates and sweets.
