Anthony Bourdain's Show-Thailand
So I watched all of Anthony Bourdain's old show. No Reservations. I try to catch his newest one that airs oddly enough of America's CNN network. It is called Parts Unknown. This week's episode covers Thailand. I am about to watch it. Less food, more fucking about in this new show of his.
I don't know the exact CEO rules on downloading copyrighted material like TV Shows and movies etc etc, but obviously most of us know how to download via Torrents in some manner or another. You can find it out there on the net right now.

I like his style.
Re: Anthony Bourdain's Show-Thailand
That particular episode was the weakest of the series so far, I thought. Your are right, it is much less about the food. Although they show him eating and drinking a lot, three is not much talk of what goes into the dishes he is trying or how it's prepared. Just Bourdain saying "That tastes really, really, really good" over and over.
I never saw Bourdain's previous series where he visited Cambodia years ago. Apparently he used Snow's place (RIP) as the back-drop? I'd like to see that one.

Holy shit, yeah, like I said, I typed my OP before watching it, then immediately viewed it after I posted. What shite that episode was, indeed.Soi Dog wrote:That particular episode was the weakest of the series so far, I thought. Your are right, it is much less about the food. I get it, it is fucking Thailand and you edit together 20 hours of show to cover the entire country. I just didn't like how it focused on what seemed like mainly Chiang Mai Province.
I get it though, it is CNN, not Discovery Channel. I think he has a lot less leeway with what he can do on this new(ish) series versus "No Reservations"
This new series is really supposed to be about him fucking about and mingling with culture, with of course some food thrown in. No reservations, his old show, was all about traveling to places to experience the food, with the culture and social aspect just happening.
I agree, the Thailand episode was a let down, but than again, CNN is not going to put him up there on Soi Cowboy , completely fucked.
Really, how does one do any one part or aspect of Thailand, the country is shaped weird, the culture differs from region to region quite a bit, and all of us Western people have a different idea of view of the country.
