14 years as a casual labourer.

Its a joke.
If you have spent 14 years on casual, then you are obviously a shit worker. We subbies rarely employ casuals, its normally the main contracting companies that do, for doing the shit work, you know - the broom and shovel work. We still keep our eyes out for good workers amongst the labour hire boys and snap them up if they show even a bit of nous, work ethic and initiative. Can you cut in a bit of fillet? Know how to put a new spool on your reel? Use an edger? If you did, in fact, if you even understood those terms, you wouldn't have spent 14 years as a shit kicking, labour hire casual.

Excuse me for distracting your off topic chatter, but... we have another day off. A new public holiday on the 29th December will commemorate the end of Cambodia's civil war, according to an announcement by the PM yesterday.
Phnom Penh (FN), June 23 — Prime Minister HE announced that Cambodia will commemorate the 20-year anniversary of completely ending civil war.

The announcement was made during the inauguration ceremony of opening Safari World Phnom Penh by L.Y.P Group on Saturday.

The commemoration will be held on 29 December 2018, several days ahead of New Year at the Win-Win Memorial, located in the development area of Ly Yong Phat in Phnom Penh’s Chroy Changvar district.

“Cambodia could end the war by the win-win policy. Let’s celebrate. We will dance like never before. We celebrate for the 20 years of ending war and no civil wars,” said Prime Minister HE.

“The world will know that Cambodians are willing to sacrifice their lives to end civil war,” he added.

The premier hoped that Chroy Changvar will become a national and international tourist attraction, thanks to the development of LYP group. The site will welcome the delegates of SEA Games in 2023 to the newly built stadium in LYP development area.
