I think the issue is that even though were all have a dick or or cunt, there are appropriate times and places to expose them, and the Cambodians feel that Angkor is not the appropriate place. And though perhaps some of the nudists are getting the attention they desired, especially if they got out of the country before being discovered, I'm not so sure all of them are. Those two American girls didn't look so happy with the attention they received. And if more people are caught doing this sort of thing, I figure the Cambodians will at some point not suspend the sentence when they are convicted, which will probably be seen by those affected as even less desirable attention.

Very good point. In term of historical context of the topless apsara dancing chicks, in ancient time beautiful, adolescent and virgins girls are solely for the authorities. You dont have to look too far back in history...take Monivong, the Norodom cronies and the ugly Hun clans for example.

This Angkor Wat patriotism is complete bullshit. Their masters, Vietnamese and Chinese communist control the territory and they know how to play the game since day one....while the clueless, patriotic Khmers think it is theirs.

In term of contemporary Khmer chicks afraid to be in bikini, they are...being labeled a slut is 5 times the insult in the Khmer language. Anyway, they have no problem showing their naked body to their love and loyal one behind the curtain.

The ancient temples experience today isnt authentic. Back in the 50s...from my parent told me...it was a holy place for monks, roadside sellers and and visitors were in harmony.

What I find interesting is the Sailor would argue that Cambodia is on the path to extreme conservatism as evidenced by the half-naked apsara dancers on the temple walls as contrasted with requiring people to keep their clothes on at the temples today, perhaps even hinting at the hypocrisy of it all. Then you added that the kings also used to reserve sexual access to virgins and adolescent girls to themselves. Just thinking about what that says about Sailor's argument regarding this conservative trend and hypocrisy.

I dont know much about Sailorman..all I know is hit plethora of knowledge about guns and New York's pizzas a, but agreed with his points where it hit closed to home.
