Who's the doctor in Kampot who started all this who couldn't tell the difference between someone with amnesia and someone faking amnesia?

It was a clinic a fair way outside Kampot

More importantly, why was Cam Nivag not on the case?

Too many shirtless barangs to photograph?

Detecting retrograde amnesia is not that simple, compared with anterograde amnesia. Note "People with anterograde amnesia have trouble making new memories after the onset of amnesia. People with retrograde amnesia have trouble accessing memories from before the onset of amnesia." The doctor would be primarily be considering traumatic brain injury and etc and not whether the patient was malingering. That assesment would come later probably at the request of an insurance company or police investigators.

"A patient’s deliberate falsification of symptoms of amnesia is known as malingering. Such simulation or exaggeration of symptoms is usually associated with financial gain, such as increased insurance claims (Binder & Rohling, 1996). It may also occur if the patient is faced with criminal charges; in 1994, for example, 29% of all criminals sentenced to life imprisonment claimed amnesia at their trials and some later admitted to feigning their memory loss (Pyszora et al., 2003)." (Faking Amnesia and How to Detect It Espen Sjoberg).

It is more problematic to assert whether a patient is feigning retrograde amnesia as this involves loss of memory prior to the onset of the condition. The variables in question are therefore largely out of the examiner’s control. For this reason, there are relatively few tests that show promise of malingering detection within retrograde amnesia assessment. Kapur (1999) argues that this is because retrograde amnesia is less frequently reported by patients compared to anterograde amnesia (presumably because it is harder to fake), and for this same reason there is also little research on the topic. (Faking Amnesia and How to Detect It Espen Sjoberg)

The smirk from the last video seems to have disappeared from his face.

So how did he get from KH to TH? "last thing I remember was having a red bull with Cambodian police and then I was here"?

Someone on the SR page is saying he lived in SR for a number of years, and that he tried to kill a building manger there

In other news the 'doctor' near Kampot who treated him admitted that the man had actually taken 30mg of bullshitemall and not diazepam

Haha, this whole thing is a great story! What an idiot.

His plan would have probably worked just fine 10 years ago, but now with social media and strange stories like this attracting so much attention on CEO and elsewhere on the web, he stood no chance.

To be fair, I think he had a pretty good run, for a strange looking conman.
