American TAYLOR HARTLEY: You left your wallet with Several Hundred Dollars in it at Park Cafe in Phnom Penh

Post by General Mackevili »

Someone is honest, as it looks like Taylor Hartley will get back his lost wallet with a few hundred dollars in it. Looks like he's one of those Mormons on bikes or something.

The server who has found that and told the manager deserves bonus. Great publicity for the restaurant for being so honest when the majority would have taken it and said nothing

I will go there for dinner tomorrow. This would have been rare in any of our countries. Yes there are many good people still to be found. Any of our investigative experts - might you be able to track down the Park Cafe staff who made Mr. Hartley a very lucky man?

I think the manager should name and fame the staff member who found it...and the guy who lost it should definitely do something in return

10% would be a nice gesture. Kudos to Park Cafe.

I had Gloria Jeans on the riverside give me change for a $50 instead of the $5 i paid with. I didn't realize till after I had left. I may have posted on here about it. I have also left both phones on the counter when paying for stuff at Thai Hout ..... The Thai Hout till operator got $5 .. I would have given 10 but I only had some small change on me at the time.

We used to live across from Sesame Noodle in TTP, and always left a dollar tip. For whatever reason we didn't eat there for about six weeks, and one of the regular servers met me at the door with "Bong, you always leave $1 - last time you were here, you left $10, I think maybe you make a mistake, so we kept it for you" and tried to hand it back to me. I was stunned and so naturally told them to split the tenner between them. More often than not, I find Khmer to be absolutely trustworthy and honest, more-so than many westerners.
