American Has Moto Accident, Pays $80 & Acts Erratic When He Finds Out Girl is Injured
A foreigner, American by accent, was in a motorbike accident in Phnom Penh with a family of 3 on the other bike. Police say it was the fault of the Cambodian, but the foreigner still paid compensation and said sorry more than 1 million times. The daughter was injured, and the American was very concerned about her, and could not stop bowing down to her and anyone else. Social media is all over this with people taking sides all over.

Re: American Has Moto Accident, Pays $80 & Acts Erratic When He Finds Out Girl is Injured
I only watched the very beginning of the video, but he says he has just moved to Cambodia. That sort of explains why he's flipping out a bit, and he's probably not used to the Khmer-style driving either.
He didnt look crazy IMO, just freaked out because the girl was hurt.
And maybe he's seen some stuff on expat forums about lynchings following traffic accidents. That wouldn't help.

WTF is this?? In another article they are saying that the money he gave -- 80 bucks.. isn't enough.. even tho it was the Cambodian drivers fault??? that's some bullshit.. If correct, that the police say it was the Cambo's fault..fuck that..... now they just being greedy...
Two motorbikes, one ridden by a foreigner had an accident. Although the foreigner apologized, and offered $ 80, the family of the other party involved did not agree.

Manhattan keeps on making it, Brooklyn keeps on taking it

Why are the police or people here saying it was the Cambodian's fault? Because even when the American gives his story, I have no idea who was at fault. I don't hear him say it was the Cambodian's fault. I hear him saying he's sorry a lot.

He and and many locals are saying it wasn't guy's fault. And after he gives $80, the mom starts to want even more money. Most locals disagree on this and say she should be happy that she got anything as not his fault and he even said he is sorry and went on his knees.

Who is saying it wasn't his fault and what is their basis for saying this?rogerrabbit wrote: ↑Sun Oct 28, 2018 1:28 am

The first time I ever had an accident in Cambodia after the dust settled a local told me never to pay more than $100. It's $2k to kill someone

Foreigners with a well developed social conscience will not fare well in this medieval country.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

Best part is when they decide papa should go with the yank on the bike to follow another one and papa is worried about the yanks driving. He then quickly gets another helmet while bystanders tell him to drive slow and give him directions in Khmer. The girl was just scared and wanted to go home...
