American Expat Paralyzed After Falling 33 Feet While Chasing a Monkey in Bali Who Stole His Hat
A Florida man is fighting for his life after he fell from an Indonesian rooftop chasing a monkey that stole his Pittsburgh Steelers cap.
Jeff “Swede” Swedenhjelm, 40, is currently paralyzed from the chest down after he fell 33 feet from a roof in Bali on Monday.
“He’s a die-hard Steelers fan,” daughter Lyric Sweenhjelm told The Post by phone Sunday. “We didn’t think that he would get into this mess but he’s an all-or-nothing guy and he’s fearless. You can’t buy a Steelers hat in Bali, so he wasn’t’ gonna let it go.”
The family is now raising money via a GoFundMe page to transport him from Bali to Kuala Lumpur, where they believe he’ll receive better medical treatment.
They raised $50,000 of the $70,000 needed to medevac him, and then an anonymous pal of his offered to loan the family the rest.

Monkey has probably been expelled from the troop for poor dress taste.
Bit sad, they probably sell passable copies at Central Market for $5

those monkeys in the monkey forest in Ubud are VERY aggressive an roam around a few of the gh's down at the bottom of the street that runs near the forest.
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

They are very aggressive, not least at all because of all the fucktardery going on. Illegal to feed them, but food can be bought at the ticket booth. People then go and tease the (Crab-eating) Macaques with the food and promptly get bitten.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Mon Dec 25, 2017 3:55 pm those monkeys in the monkey forest in Ubud are VERY aggressive an roam around a few of the gh's down at the bottom of the street that runs near the forest.
Last time I was there, I talked to the nurse on duty there and she said that there is at least one bad bite a day (look at the canines of those Fcukers!) SUre enough, as we were talking, a Pom was holding out a banana to a big male, then got scared, pullet back the banana. The macaque went "screw that", jumped on the guy, and sank its pretty awesome canines into his shoulder.
