American Expat ERIC ZIEBART Missing in Cambodia & Needs Help

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Yes, dudes, not to worry about Mr. Ziebart too much. I mean, we live in these SE Asian dumps to get our little slice of tropical paradise. This dude, Ziebart rustproofing fortune heir, can afford Honolulu.

As a general remark, seeing that this thread is old and he has long since been found:

If you have a mentally ill family member prone to going off the rails abroad, it would be best to make sure that they "lose" their passport before even leaving. Having to track them down in - and repatriate them from - a country like Cambodia can be a nightmare, and in other cases it didn't work out at all. There's a very real chance of DEATH. There, I said it.

He won’t be going back to Cambodia. He has gotten medical help and will be staying in the U.S.

You know nothing about him. He has gotten help. He was just a misguided soul when he left home. He has little money but is surviving with the help of people who care.
