All my dental work is finally done!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. @Hanno. I know there are some good doctors in Cambodia. Thats why I was careful to phrase my question like that.
It just seems like such a paradox - people actually choosing to come for (dental) care.
Also, having spent some time wandering around taking photos of dentists' advertising signs when I first came to Cambodia, I was overly scared of Cambodian dentists until quite recently. I am still not confident about doctors outside of the big cities, but then I wouldn't go to a small town dentist either.

They have real degrees from abroad (just like the dentist that Roz) went to and are not part of the 80% of Doctors in the Kingdom that bought their certificates. However, what they do not have is the equipment that the likes of BKK hospital has.
Roomchang in Phnom Penh have all the right equipment and are equally as good as anything in Bangkok. IMO better than my Bangkok dentist. Check out their site here: http://roomchang.com/

Here's a cut and paste of my comments on another thread:

I made some inquiries concerning implants and got recommendations for Dr. Lov at Roomchang. He subsequently did the implant and did an excellent job. For serious dental work I previously went to Bangkok, now all my dental work is done by Roomchang. The thing I like about Roomchang which goes for other top notch Asian style dentists is they have all the required equipment on site and usually do the work in one hit, and so you are not messing about with time wasting repeat appointments. https://cambodiaexpatsonline.com/ask-the ... =roomchang

Good to know boys,

I haven't seen a doctor since my accident, but I'm sure as hell going to get any medical experiments done on me before arriving in Cambodia!

Is it true about the number of unlicensed people passing themselves off as physicians in Cambodia?

That's one of things that Thailand did okay--except for the farang-adjusted medical bills.

Finally, the freaking weekend!!!

Malis is perhaps the best dentist office I've ever been to. Japanese & brand new gear - speaks English fluently & gentle thorough work. More $$ than Khmer (but not much) & worth it! I don't want no bargain dentist in no 3rd world country. Pain ain't my gig. I've recommended many others who've had substantial work done & they all have been very satisfied.

If you rinse after U eat or drink coffee, sugary drinks, etc. & use toothpicks after every meal & floss & brush frequently - go for annual cleanings & check ups U ain't never gonna need $3-$30K work done no how. On my 6th decade & just had a few fillings done as a youngun...peeps being afraid of dentists & letting plaque build up = almost all problems - root canals, surgery, dentures, etc...

After 20 years old or so it's all about the gums anyway as your teeth have hardened - your entire dental health rests on the line where your teeth meet your guns - ain't exactly no rocket science. All I did (& anyone needs to do) is to keep the mouth rinsed of food particles, don't smoke, don't eat too much sugar, etc. Pure common sense. Food = damaging bacteria leading to plaque leading to a cosmos of problems.

Wanna save $$ & painful care? Keep your mouth clean - all the time. Period. Ain't no shortcuts...

Going to Cambodian dentists is a lot like shagging freelancers at GSM; might work out a few times, but you probably will one day regret doing so.

You clearly have absolutely no experience with dentists here, and I mean the good ones, like Roomchang; they are very, and I mean VERY professional, had several things done there, no complaints, only praise.
But maybe you only wanted to air your (bad) analogy, not that there's anything wrong with that!

NB obviously wants to discuss his experiences with GSM working girls and can't find a better thread to do so.
