Alert about British pedophile Alan Smith aka "Alan Stewart" and "Allan Howson-Burton"

Last year The Sun reported on a British child sex offender named Alan Smith who changed his name twice in order to get new passports and then travel to Thailand and find jobs teaching children:

He has since been kicked out of Thailand.

Recently, when passing through immigration at Phnom Penh airport, I saw "Allan Howser-Burton British May 7, 1954" posted in one of the booths. This appears to be a misspelling of his "Allan Howson-Burton" alias. I guess this means he is flagged and should be denied entry if he tries to enter Cambodia. It's unclear if the authorities here have any specific intelligence leading them to conclude that Smith aka Stewart aka Howson-Burton intends to enter Cambodia.

Because I'm concerned that this guy is a shifty, name-changing pedophile committed to getting access to kids, and because Cambodia's process of flagging pedophiles might be limited to posting their misspelled names on cluttered immigration booth walls that look like the detective's office in "The Usual Suspects," I thought it would be prudent to post his information and photos here just in case he shows up in Cambodia or is already here.

Wow he had previously changed his last name to Annum too? That's three name changes. Maybe the Brits need to close that loophole.

What right do you or anyone on here have to judge me, yes I did a stupid thing over 12 years ago. As I had been on remand for 7 months the judge said I was free to go as the tariff was a 6 months sentence. So I have never been in prison as a convicted sex offender I WAS ON REMAND. I have tried to put all this behind me but people like you on here and the sun newspaper will not let this go. My teaching work has been excellent and I have never had any complaints or accusations made against me whilst teaching in Thailand. I have excellent letters of praise and thanks for teaching and helping Thai students to improve their English and their chance in life to get a better job. So now I am possibly barred from entering Cambodia even though I have never committed any offense in that country, even though I have visited there 3 times since 2005.I am currently fighting the Thai blacklist as it was done on false and incorrect information that was given to the immigration by the Sun newspaper. I do not condone that what I did was wrong and stupid but there was no sexual connotation involved, it was just a stupid prank that was taken the wrong way. I apologized to the girl and her family, but pressure was brought on them by certain people to go to the police and take it further. Even the girl's father thought that it was a joke gone wrong. one stupid prank does not make me a paedophile just a stupid man. people on here will still judge me, but I have the legal papers to prove and show that I was never barred from working with children. since 2005 I have never committed any other offense against any person young or old.IT WAS JUST A STUPID PRANK. so I hope I have tried to clear this up, but people on here will still sling shit.

If you are an English teacher you should understand what "semantics" means. And "disingenuous".

This is as clear an example of a statement that is predicated on semantics and is utterly disingenuous in totality.

You were convicted of a sex offence and would have spent time in jail as a sex offender had it not been for the remand period covering the sentence for the sex offence. Don't be a weasel with words and maybe you'll get a fair hearing as far as what you claim your side of things are, but try that fucking shit and you will get nowhere.
