Aeon Mall 2 in Phnom Penh: Thug experience

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

The thing is about Cambodia is that there's not much to it. There is only one street, and it's lined with teenage hookers and decrepit old men and beggars, beyond that it's just shacks and ruins and landmines. Ask anyone whose friend's cousin was there and they'll tell you. I never heard of sex freaks, what's that about?

Lol.. it would indeed be strange if that was my only interest, however you forget that I was there taking general photos of the Mall because it's a brand new Mall and has only been open like 2 days. I only took that photo as I was passing by and it was just a photo of 2 girls that were having a good time posing for their friends and then me..so nothing really strange about that. I mean I didnt ask them to pose for me they did that automatically. In fact it's so benign you'd wonder how 2 blokes could see that it was in any possible way offensive or creepy.
give up the fight here>you cant win an ur ONLY mistake was mentioning it here :beer3:

i take photos all over, old people, young people, kids, monks, cops, couples, groups etc etc,
outdoors, indoors, never been hassled.
if some do gooders approached me, i'd tell them to fuck off..
FYI:
in a public place no one can expect any rights to privacy ( at least everywhere i have been) an u did fuck all wrong ,contrary to what others here want to make out u did..
If South Korea figures in your travel plans Richard you might do well to heed this, "In South Korea taking pictures of women without their consent, even in public, is considered to be criminal sexual assault, punishable by a fine of 10 million won, and up to 5 years imprisonment. In July 2017 an amendment to the law was put forward, in favor of allowing chemical castration of people taking such photographs". :hattip:

Isn't this part of the laws they brought in to do with a load of creepy Indian guys who were getting cheap flights and then staring at the locals/harassing women on the beach?

That's -2 karma now from the OP.

OP let me explain -
I ask questions - it's what I do, it's what we ALL do - that's how we get answers to things that don't always make sense.
People then supply satisfactory answers and we stop asking questions. It's actually that simple.
YOU started the post - YOU supplied the story - You were not forced to share, you chose to give your side of events of a story that didn't quite add up.
Which was why we all started asking.

You have NOT supplied satisfactory answers OR the requested photo. Several people have given you options to recover the photo and still you continue to dish out the negative karma - but still...no photo.

Asking to see the cause of the entire drama is absolutely NOT trolling - it's asking to see evidence so I can make a decision about this story, to explain the parts that don't make sense or don't quite add up.

Please go and research the meaning of the word ''troll.''
I am NOT a troll.

Lol the people who gave info on recovering the photo have obviously never tried to do it. You need to root the phone which can brick it or damage it, in order to do a deep scan. Those programmes are also generally not free. The Internet cafes here are also crap. I have told u this already or already mentioned it but you avoid mentioning this in ur self righteous response.

Any more "valid" and realistic responses welcome.

This is spot on. The tireless bloodhounds of morality smell blood and won't be happy they tree their prey.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.
