Aeon Mall 2 in Phnom Penh: Thug experience

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I should have. They took one of me apparently.

This is so frustrating because these idiots have been allowed to walk away Scott free from this kinda behaviour. I feel bullied and harassed.

? You went to security and while you were there they walked by security and left ? If they already left and you still had the photo to show to security but then deleted it because they were being too aggressive ? So they came back after you went to security and made you delete the photo ??

No. The first time I got security they saw the photo and thought nothing of it, then I deleted the photo for reasons the black men were agressive( read my first post properly please). I wish I didn't cos the photo would have proved my innocence and their madness. They had also threatened me as well.

It was Later that I went to information desk to make a complaint and then they walked past.I told the staff to stop them.....

But why weren't they stopped?

Some young girls were posing for pictures with friends and you took out your camera and took pictures of them too. Then 2 'dudes' with white powder around their nosse and smelling of alcohol told you to delete the photo and were calling you a pervert but you stood your ground, because the girls were 18, and you told them you would not delete it. Then went to security and showed them the picture and left. Then they came back and started doing it again so you deleted the picture. Then you went back to security and told them the guys made you delete a picture from your phone.
So did the security watch them harassing you ?
What do you think the security should have done ?
What would you have done if you were security and someone said " I had a picture on my phone and those guys made me delete it" ?
I think it would have been wise to take pictures , or better yet video, of the guys that were harassing you. What if they were waiting outside or followed you to you residence so they could get you latter. What will we do if you end up dead or worse?

Well u obviously didn't read my op post properily I'm afraid. So I won't go repeating myself or making it any clearer than its already written.

The police gave me their number in case but yea they threatened me and the police should have stopped them and got their details in case of the worse scenario. That is why I feel so angry about all of this -the security down there is absolutely useless!

Are you an old pervert hanging around shopping malls taking pictures of young "18" year old girls though?

It's not something I'd consider doing to be fair. And for those exact same reasons - the way it might appear to others.

Seems to me they made a very big fuss over "nothing".

american blacks or african blacks?

I have also taken photos of people taking photos, but have never been confronted about it.
ONLY time i have deleted pics is when i have been confronted by police in a foreign country, ( have also had film confiscated more than once)

1.Xandrew you're obviously a bit of a twat to suggest I'm a pervert.

2. Zmth one sounded British, the other American or Nigerian.

3. PR exactly. This was totally off the wall. It's not like the girls girls had any issues me taking a shot they freaking posed for me...but it was too much for these black idiots!

4. Jimmy cross u are a toss wit saying that. I'm not racist bit these idiots don't do much in terms of representing black people positively .
