Re: 3rd World Scammers in 3rd World Countries
Another reply from the scammer;
Dear ••••••••,
Thank you for your reply. Anyway, I really understand your doubt about this claim my dear but I would like to advise you to be confident of working with me in this respect because i will assure you of my sincerity and trust as long as you stick to my guidelines in making this claim a success. I promise you with all my heart that my claim is legal and 100% risk free. I will never in my life disappoint you if you could volunteer yourself to render your immense assistance to me. Meanwhile i contacted you for this claim because I feel within me that my fund will be safe under your custody as my beneficiary.
I have told you from the beginning that i am contacting you to be my beneficiary in making this claim due to my present financial crisis of not being able to meet up with the company's requirements of releasing my fund to my custody and secondly the company has been giving me several notifications to make the claim before they declare my fund not serviceable by the beneficiary which may result to confiscation of my fund by the company if the claim is not made as soon as possible. And thirdly, i want to invest the fund in a foreign country with the help of trustworthy and reliable foreign partner. Due to the fact that i do not have sufficient cash at hand now, that is the reason i find it difficult to travel to meet you up before we can carry out this project because i need a situation whereby you claim the fund from the security company before we could embark on our investment plans. Please try and understand my present predicament and work with me accordingly.
I have attached a document related to the fund which my late husband deposited with the diplomatic company for you to be confident of dealing with me in this respect and volunteer yourself to render your immense assistance to my present predicament.
I want you to reply my email as soon as possible and assure me of your confidence of working with me in trust and provide me with your information as listed below for me to submit it with the company and instruct them to release my fund to your custody as my beneficiary.
full name
address
telephone number
profession
age/sex
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Marlena

To which I responded:
.Yeah. Listen pal, I'm not sending you any money. I do a lot for this part of the World. I donate time, I donate money. I help the poor and I help the homeless.
What you do, you misguided buffoon, is beyond disgraceful. Like I said, I work for a major media company for Cambodia. I grow tired of humoring your asinine plot of conning me out of money to see how greedy and stupid an unsuspecting person can be.
Next time you choose a victim, make sure your English is better than theirs. I find your emails cryptic and amusing at best. Try it on someone who's not a fluent English speaker that hasn't yet traveled outside of their country of birth. You'll find I'm the polar opposite of what I've just described.
Fix your grammatical errors and learn to use different vocabulary when reiterating a point.
One more thing, you are an ugly cunt.
With all sincerity and kindest Regards,

i just had aquick google and found this. its counter intuitive, but i can see it could be true. They make it sound so crappy that only the most gullable stupid people reply at all

Far-fetched tales of West African riches strike most as comical. Our analysis suggests that is an advantage to the attacker, not a disadvantage. Since his attack has a low density of victims the Nigerian scammer has an over-riding need to reduce false positives. By sending an email that repels all but the most gullible the scammer gets the most promising marks to self-select, and tilts the true to false positive ratio in his favor.

My wife's cousin was mad for Unicity. A couple of years ago, he met a rich guy who introduced him to a product, a medicinal beverage that makes you strong, powerful and blah. He put $5k on a project to sell it and asked his family to buy into it, and anyone who looked like they had money to hand out.
That was 18 months ago. Now the cousin is poor and bitter. Stubborn guy, he Still believes in the product to this day.
