I am flying in end of August. Got a one way ticker for 520$ from New York to Siem Reap.

I am assuming I have to deposit the $3000. I don't yet have insurance, and I am really hoping to find a place that will give me the results of a test. It is really hard to do.

I am assuming there has been no new updates. Has anyone heard from anyone recently entering. Are they selling insurance. I read this post and it was recommended that I purchase first but I don't want to if not necessary.

Got my COVID test 10 minutes ago. Was not fun. If I pass, and I am not sure I will (just developed cough, fever and breathing probs), I will buy the ticket I had reserved. I realize I will have to retest before my flight.

I am coming back with 13 grand and 2 blank passport pages plus 1 ("blank" page where my old stamp fell off).

Hoping for the best, but this shit-hole of a country is completely infected. Florida has zero ICU beds available in 57 hospitals. I'm from up North but its not much better here. I have been kicking my own ass for coming back but I needed the money.

I can't find any insurance here for sale. Anywhere. It doesn't exist I think.

Anyway, yes there are flights in to Siem Reap.

This is not my ticket, but here is an example: $542 (one way)

Air Canada: New York to Toronto Canada
Cathay Dragon: Toronto Canada to Hong Kong and Hong Kong to Siem Reap.

The purpose of this post... I cannot wait here for passport printing to resume. The virus is surging big time. My life is in danger. I am going to take the chance arriving with 2 legitimate blank pages and an "extra".

If I can get in with a 30 day business Visa and then get a 1-year business with my last page (and an "extra") then the US Embassy PP can print me an emergency 1-year one if shit doesn't turn around after a year. I am assuming I can get a 1 month business upon arrival. I still have a valid work permit through December and a valid work health card. I have a school on standby who will give me an employment letter when I apply for the 1 year business.

PLEASE HELP:
**** Do you think Canada or Hong Kong will use my blank pages? I only need stamps I think, and I do have room for stamps. I won't allow them to use my blank pages (not sure how I will enforce this).

I am up north now, don't see what the issue is? Cases are pretty flat now in the tri-state area. Why are you using Florida ICU beds as an indicator if you are nowhere near Florida?

What is the danger if you aren't going out and hanging out in large groups? Sorry, sounds a bit crazy to be so scared of the situation which you have a fair amount of control over (stay home) and which statistics show is in decent control in the area you live.

Your life is in danger where - there (wear a mask and stay home when you can) or on the back of a motodop in PP? Interesting that someone would equate Cambodia with safety and no risk. Just saying. And if you have "just developed cough, fever and breathing probs" you should not be out and about or trying to travel, you should be self-isolating

Yes it sure is!
Since January I have been thinking the crime rate is going to go the roof, With the huge losses of employment, people getting attacked/mugged in the streets etc. , But it hasn't got any where near as bad as i imagined.! Which is fantastic.
