In 2018, why (not) choose to expatriate in Cambodia?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

pattaya is not a place for younger chaps.

theres no work there, and all there is to do is drink 24/7 and blow money on wpmen 24/7.

what right minded person would wanna live in a place like that?

an extended holiday, sure.

but to live there on a budget would drive one completely mad in the end.

totally wrong, I know lots of people that live there, work there and are retired there ( and or use pattaya as a base when they are in Thailand). its not expensive, lots of choices for food, golf and sea sports ( for those that desire it) and if u want a lady.....
If this were not true, why are there so many housing estates across sukumvit full of homes, why are there so many condos on Jomtien?

I dont get how someone like u can travel so much an see so little :stir:

I never sayed it was expensive.

but what does a young person do for work ?
water sports and golf arent exactly the average dudes past time are they?

Many many men go pattaya and think , Oh I can live in this place.

then they end up on pattaya beach with a couple months, broke, no job, or living with a 50 year old pattaya bargirl overstaying and living off some dismall money send from family.

ive seen it happen time and time again.
theres even a documentary about it.

ok,I'll bite,
if u want to work there ur options are the same as; Phuket, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, etc etc, (even Cambodia)
teach english, work for a hotel/resort, tour agent, open ur own business, etc..

Ur qualified to do nothing outside Oz, where its easy to pick up manual labor work.

The clown could never live anywhere outside Australia, despite his BS about living in Asia for 7 years or whatever that nobody believed.

What are the basic requirements to teach English in Japan?

2. University Degree
A Bachelor’s degree/diploma from an accredited college or university (4 years in U.S./3 years in U.K.) is required to teach English in Japan. This degree does not need to be in Education.https://www.internationalteflacademy.co ... h-in-japan
