So i have just accepted a job paying 100K a year approx, accomadation paid, and living away from home allowance alone is 2200$ a month tax free

Yes its in the middle of nowhere but im clearing 100 grand a year as a labourer.

Yes that 100K is coming soon enough no joke...

Worked in Port Hedland on a shovel and a hose, cleaning conveyer belts, shiploading iron ore, 13 days a fortnight, 12 hour shift, $800/day.
That was five years ago. 100k p/a is not huge. Not bad but not great.

If the job is available, do it for five years and save your money. Then look at Asia again. You may get to the stage where your too old to work like you do.
